When Schaefer Enterprises Inc., a full-service insurance brokerage, won the distinction of being named one of Inc.’s 5000 fastest growing privately held companies in America, it wanted to share the great news. It asked its creative agency, Trillion, to get the message out.

Larissa Montecuollo, partner at Trillion, had just received a promotional mailing from Red Paper Plane and had been waiting for the right opportunity to test out its highly creative dimensional mailers.

“I requested the full sample pack, and we were just waiting for the right project to come along,” Larissa says. “We opened it, and the cube popped up, our team all had the same reaction: ‘It’s the happiest, most wonderful thing ever!’”

The theme of the campaign, which included a mailing, email marketing, press releases, a launch party, and social media marketing, was “thinking outside of the box.” To Montecuollo, the Pop-Up Cube was magic.

“It mirrors the message perfectly,” she beams. “We brought it to the client, showed it to him, and he loved it.”

Trillion Creative printed 1,000 of the dimensional packages, which it placed into clear plastic envelopes for protection. On the outside of the carrier and visible through the clear envelope was the message, “Inside is a surprise for you.” “That teaser made all the difference,” she says.

The results? “The client is thrilled,” says Montecuollo. “He’s hearing from people he hadn’t heard from in a long time. The whole package worked beautifully!”

Trillion was very pleased with the final printed quality, as well. “We had ordered a sheet to review, and Red Paper Plane went the extra mile and gave us a full mock-up,” Montecuollo concludes. “We had a few edits and requests taken care of, and the final result was really beautiful.”
