When Prairie Estates Genetics, a Wisconsin-based seed company focused exclusively on dairy hybrids, started looking for a clever way to generate some new business leads, their search eventually led them to RedPaperPlane.com.

The idea was to target dairy farmers in new territories and introduce them to the work of this family-owned farm. Because this is such a savvy group of people who receive a lot of promotional material, it was imperative that this piece be attention grabbing.

“The quality of the piece was outstanding. It surpassed my expectations, actually,” said Nicole Rogers, marketing director for PEG.

They chose the Telescoping Slider.

Not only is this piece, which ships flat, very cost effective, it’s also interactive. Due to its multiple panels design, this is a great format to show a step-by-step process or to walk recipients through your business’ messaging in an organized and concise way.

While designing the piece on RedPaperPlane.com’s do-it-yourself website, Rogers said the best part about the process was the customer service.

“David was our contact and although I was on vacation and then slammed when I was back in the office, he was always available to talk to me, which was so valuable when my time was in short supply,” she said.

PEG’s Forage Managers will be dispatched to visit with the various farms they targeted through the mailer to follow up on the success of the piece.

Rogers said, "I have a feeling the piece Red Paper Plane did was memorable enough that these respected dairies will have some knowledge of our company before a Forage Manager show up at their door. That is huge for us.”
